Åland Maritime Day 2017

ÅCB attended the fair Åland Maritime Day at Alandica Congresshouse on 1 June 2017.

ÅCB’s Conference Ambassador of the Year

Klubbhuset Pelaren in Mariehamn is ÅCB’s Conference Ambassador of the Year 2016. Åland Convention Bureau has initiated the Conference Ambassador of the Year Award to reward a person or organization that has contributed in highlighting Åland as a conference and events destination.

This year we have awarded Klubbhuset Pelaren / Åland’s Fountainhouse to the ambassador for hosting Fountainhouse Network’s annual spring conference that was participated by over one hundred delegates in 2016.
This conference is a perfect example on how a small organization can stand for meeting arrangements and invite its network for a conference in the Åland Islands.

Kongressi in Helsinki

The professionals in the Finnish meeting, conference and event industry came together at Kongressi in Helsinki 29-30 March. Kongressi 2017 gathered around 200 exhibitors and over 2 700 visitors.

Åland Convention Bureau and its partners participated also this year and presented the amazing meeting possibilities we can offer on Åland Islands. Our partners at the event: Alandica Culture & Congress Centre with Maria Mäntylä, Käringsund Resort & Conference with Hubbe von Frenckell, Silverskär/Klobben with Susanne ”Fia” Karlsson and ÅCB Manager Sanna Könönen-Wahlstedt.

Möten & Events in Kista, Stockholm

Åland Convention Bureau participated in Möten & Events, Nordic’s largest and most business-driven trade show within the meeting and event industry, in Kista together with partners Silverskär, Alandica, HavsVidden and Käringsund Resort & Conference. Among visitors we arranged a competition where visitors could win an overnight stay for two in HavsVidden and a dinner for two in Restaurang Club Marin in Mariehamn. The winners have been contacted personally.

Mat & Möten in Stockholm 1 February 2017

Åland Convention Bureau participated in Mat & Möten meeting fair in Stockholm. The focus was in sustainable and delicate conference food! The delicacies from Åland were made and served by the chef Viktor Eriksson from Silverskär.

ÅCB also arranged a competition where visitors could win a cruise trip with Viking Line, Tallink Silja and Eckerö Linjen. The winners have been contacted personally.

ÅCB on fair in Stockholm

ÅCB attended the fair Större Möten & Konferenser (”Bigger meetings and Conferences”) in a snowy Stockholm.
The following companys were represented: Sanna Könönen-Wahlstedt from ÅCB, Sofia Sahlström from Käringsund Resort & Conference, as well as Maria Mäntylä and Martina Gerkman from Alandica Culture & Congress.

ÅCB at VIP-mingel in Stockholm

October 19th ÅCB took part in a VIP-mingel together with partners Silverskär and Käringsund Resort & Conference in Stockholm. During two effective hours we offered some delicate cheeses and marmalades from Åland islands and met many potential buyers for meetings/konferences.

ÅCB met Finnish colleagues at Congress Network CNF ”Autumn days” 13-14 October 2016 in Lahti.

ÅCB on tour with Relation Uppsala

ÅCB took part in Relation Uppsala autumn event ”on tour” in Järvsö along with appr. 350 enterprises and organisations from Uppsala-Enköping-Gävle region.
